In the context of rapid digital transformation and the growing demand for practice-oriented education, the Library of Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB) has actively expanded its collaboration with reputable specialized data providers to enhance the quality of academic and research support. One notable advancement is the partnership with FiinGroup – Vietnam’s leading provider of financial data and analysis.
Since 2022, the FiinPro database has been officially implemented at the HUB Library. This specialized digital resource offers comprehensive and up-to-date information on Vietnam’s financial, banking, and securities markets, effectively serving faculty members, students, and researchers.
In the digital age, scientific data plays an increasingly vital role in improving the quality of higher education. Access to accurate and reliable data not only makes teaching more practical and engaging but also strongly promotes scientific research. Through case studies, real-world data analysis, and applied research projects, students are trained in critical thinking, financial analysis, and data literacy—key competencies for professional development in the fields of economics and finance.

After three years of implementation, the FiinPro database has proven its practical value in the academic environment at the Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB). As of June 2025, the system has recorded over 5,000 accesses by faculty members and students. FiinPro data has been integrated into numerous specialized courses such as Financial Analysis, Business Valuation, Stock Market, Data Science, and various student and faculty research projects. This data source has made significant contributions to the preparation of theses, dissertations, and academic papers, thereby enhancing the university’s education and research quality.
To further promote the effectiveness of this valuable resource, the HUB Library and FiinGroup will implement a series of user support policies in the near future. Accordingly, the Library will coordinate the organization of thematic training sessions and user guidance workshops for students and lecturers on how to use the FiinPro database, while continuing to support remote access for users. In addition, the Library will provide consultation and technical assistance services during data exploitation and collaborate in organizing academic seminars focused on the practical application of FiinPro data in teaching and research.
