The International Conference on Library and Scholarly Publishing 2025 (ICLISSP2025) was held from August 20 to 22, 2025, at ICISE, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh, Viet Nam. The conference focused on innovation trends, particularly the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and international integration in the fields of library and scholarly publishing. The Information - Library Center of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City was honored to participate and gain insights into ten key highlights from ICLISSP2025:

1. AI in Action for Library Professionals (Tools, Skills, and Applications): The workshop highlighted the potential of AI in library services, including the fundamentals of prompt engineering, building and fine-tuning custom chatbots, user needs analysis, digitization of materials, creating communication/marketing content with AI, and addressing ethical and intellectual property issues in the AI era.

2. Transforming Libraries into AI-Driven Knowledge Hubs for Open Publishing: AI can reshape the strategic role of libraries, serving as a catalyst for open publishing and innovation in the academic environment.

3. Digital Innovation and AI Adoption in Academic Libraries: The conference discussed the latest trends in digital innovation and how academic libraries integrate AI into their operations to enhance efficiency and service quality.

5. AI Literacy Initiatives in University Libraries: Focused on developing programs and initiatives to enhance AI knowledge and skills for both librarians and library users.

6. Enhancing Academic Libraries through AI Solutions and Intelligent Search.

Promoting the International Integration of Vietnamese Scholarly Journals: Sessions explored challenges and international standards for indexing journals in Scopus and Web of Science, managing journals according to global best practices (peer review processes, research ethics, open access publishing), and designing internationally compliant Open Journal Systems (OJS).

8. Adaptive Leadership and Digital Transformation in Library Management: Discussions emphasized the role of leadership in adapting to change and driving digital transformation in library management to meet growing user expectations.

9. Open Educational Resources (OER) and AI-Enhanced Textbooks/Courses for Educational Transformation: Addressed the library’s future-leading role in combining OER with AI to develop AI-enhanced textbooks and courses, contributing to educational transformation in Viet Nam.

10. Ethical AI Use and Intellectual Property Challenges in the AI Era: A key part of the conference focused on ethical considerations and intellectual property/copyright challenges in applying AI to library and scholarly publishing activities.
