On August 17, 2026, the Information Center – Library (ICL) of Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB), in collaboration with Cao Bang Provincial Library, presented gifts as part of the 5th “Books – Nurturing the Future Generation” Program 2026 at Co Ngan Primary and Secondary School, Vinh Quy Commune, Cao Bang Province, providing more than 100 gifts to the school’s students. The Organizing Committee presented 50 gift packages, each valued at VND 300,000; 950 notebooks; and 200 ballpoint pens, fountain pens, and pencils. The total value of the donated gifts was more than VND 26 million, along with the establishment of a Reading Culture Bookcase featuring 62 book titles.

Through the practical gifts and the donated bookcase, the program helps create more opportunities for students to access books and knowledge and sustain their enthusiasm for learning. At the same time, it promotes the value of books and reading culture within the community, contributing to a rich cultural and spiritual life, fostering the tradition of learning, and promoting positive humanistic values.

The year 2026 marks the fifth consecutive year that HUB ICL has implemented the “Books – Nurturing the Future Generation” Program. Building on the achievements of previous years, the program has become an annual activity of HUB ICL, reaching out to remote and disadvantaged localities. Through the program, HUB ICL not only helps bring books and knowledge closer to the community but also gradually strengthens the social role of the library in connecting, sharing, and serving the community.
