    Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification: The Information – Library Center of Ho Chi Minh University of Banking Organizes a Series of Activities in Response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 202

    In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, and the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21), the Information – Library Center of Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB) enthusiastically organized a series of meaningful and practical activities, contributing to the promotion of reading culture and spreading the love for books among students, lecturers, and staff.
    The series of activities was implemented in accordance with Plan No. 1286/KH-BVHTTDL by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Guideline No. 1802/BGDĐT by the Ministry of Education and Training. The goal is to promote reading habits, enhance the application of information technology in library activities, and encourage creative initiatives that connect reading with educational programs and life skills—thereby fostering self-directed learning, research capabilities, and adaptability in the digital education era. Key highlights of this year’s program include:

    • University-level and National-level “Reading Culture Ambassador” Contest:
    A platform for students who are passionate about reading and have the ability to inspire others. This is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and creativity in promoting reading culture.
     
    • Talk Show “Equipping for Entrepreneurship through Books” (April 21, 2025):
    With the theme “Innovation in the Digital Age,” this talk show offers fresh perspectives on the role of books in the current era. The event features renowned guest speakers sharing real-world experiences and inspiring students on their entrepreneurial journey.
    • Academic Conference “Enhancing the Quality of University Libraries to Meet Domestic and International Accreditation Standards” (April 25, 2025):
    The conference includes over 50 presentations by leading scholars in library and information science, leaders of university libraries, the Academic Library Association, and representatives from technology enterprises. It promises to deliver valuable insights and contribute to the advancement of the academic library community.
    • Book Showcases and Sharing Sessions:
    The library will present and recommend outstanding books aligned with HUB’s new training programs, helping students access high-quality resources to support their learning and research.
    • Library Orientation and User Instruction Sessions:
    Monthly orientation sessions will be conducted to assist students and lecturers in effectively utilizing the library’s rich resources and services.
    • AI Tools for Digital Reading Support:
    The library will introduce and guide users on the use of AI-powered tools to enhance digital reading, providing quicker and more efficient access to information and enriching the reading experience in the digital age.
    • Book and Cultural Publication Week (May 18–22, 2025):
    A great opportunity for students, lecturers, and staff to explore and obtain valuable books and unique cultural publications with various attractive offers.
    • Training Sessions on AI Applications in Library Operations:
    The library will organize capacity-building workshops for its staff, focusing on the application of AI in library management and digital resource operations to enhance service quality.
    Through this diverse and engaging series of activities, the Information – Library Center of Ho Chi Minh University of Banking aims to foster a vibrant reading culture and contribute to the holistic development of students, lecturers, and staff. We cordially invite all faculty members, students, and staff to participate in and support the Library’s activities.
