On the afternoon of September 3, 2026, the Information - Library Center of Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB) organized the Award Ceremony for the 2026 University-level “Reading Culture Ambassador” Contest, marking the conclusion of the Contest while honoring outstanding students who contributed to spreading a love of books, reading habits, and a spirit of learning and creativity throughout the HUB student community.
The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Thi Thieu Dao – Vice President of the University; representatives of the University’s units; members of the Judging Panel and Organizing Committee; lecturers; and a large number of students, with nearly 90 participants in attendance.

In 2026, the “Reading Culture Ambassador” Contest was organized under the theme “Reading Culture in the Digital and Artificial Intelligence Era – HUB Shaping the Future.” The Contest aimed to encourage and develop the reading movement among students, affirm the role and value of reading culture, and create opportunities for learners to share stories, experiences, and effective reading methods.
Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the Organizing Committee emphasized that, in a context where people are exposed every day to an enormous amount of information from the Internet, social media, and artificial intelligence tools, reading is no longer simply about receiving information. It also requires the ability to select valuable information, reflect, think critically, and engage in dialogue with knowledge. Through this process, each individual gradually develops their own perspectives, character, and personal conviction.
